AVUITY was founded in 2012 as a part of an architecture and design firm based in Cincinnati, OH. We initially began leveraging sensors to provide actionable data for clients moving to unassigned seating.  As time passed, we saw client needs evolve from using sensors for space studies to inform more large-scale real estate decisions, develop smart building strategies, and improve the employee experience.  

The need for more detailed data delivery led AVUITY to leverage our design-centered background to develop propriety hardware and software to meet the needs of our ever-expanding client base.  As a result, we designed, manufactured, and released our own sensors, analytics platform, and employee experience app: VuAI, VuSensor, VuSpace and AVUITY Mobile.  

As more clients began to embrace agile work and more progressive real estate strategies, AVUITY began leveraging cutting edge developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning to equip our platform to learn, grow, and change with the needs of our clients over time by measuring not only human interaction within space, but also the ability to look for objects and measure environmental metrics.

Our success is a direct result of our process which centers around listening to clients to provide actionable data to support recommendations that best fits their needs. AVUITY has grown beyond the initial design-firm subsidiary model to be a fully independent technology firm and has expanded to become an industry leader capable of meeting our clients’ needs on a global scale.
